MochiBook — Terms of Use

By installing or using MochiBook ("the app") you agree to these terms.

1. The service

MochiBook helps you track personal expenses by voice. The Free tier allows up to 10 backend requests per day. MochiBook Plus increases that to 200/day. Both tiers depend on third-party APIs (OpenAI, OpenRouter, Cloudflare) — if those services are unavailable, the voice loop may be temporarily degraded.

2. Subscription terms

MochiBook Plus is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID:

Monthly plan: USD $4.99 / month
Annual plan: USD $39.99 / year (≈ 33% off vs monthly)

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel at any time via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. No refunds for unused portions of an active period (Apple's refund policy applies; see support.apple.com).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer the app to extract API keys (there aren't any in the IPA — we use App Attest specifically to make this irrelevant — but you still agree not to try)
Use the voice loop to generate or transcribe content that violates OpenAI's usage policies (CSAM, harassment, etc.)
Spoof the device attestation or proxy traffic in any way that bypasses the rate limit
Sell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or any extracted portion of it

We may suspend access to the proxy for any account / device that violates these terms.

4. Disclaimers

MochiBook is provided "as is". We make no warranty about transcription accuracy, category parsing correctness, or budget calculations. You're responsible for verifying your financial data. Don't use MochiBook as the sole record for tax or audit purposes.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MochiBook. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim (zero if you're on the Free tier).

6. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in-app on next launch. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
